rix : Well, Guest_3235, it's not whether you need champions to be coaching you. IMHO, you are getting the best, training under someone who really know what he is doing and teaching cos he comes from a school with lineage. Of course, different people have different views and i'm sure price is a factor for most. Do check out the gym page though.
rix : I guess different people have different perspective? Guest 709, don't be disheartened though, check out the gym page, there's a couple of other muay thai gyms you can check out.
rix : well.. if you compare the price with other gyms. Of course other gyms cheaper.. but you are training under Muay Thai and BJJ World Champions with real credentials.. that is the difference.
Guest_1030 : I guess every Martial Arts School prefers to tell their prices when you visit them. As Prices changes from time to time so it wise to go down and ask personally,

rix : well, there's no need to be embarrass, also the pricing packages are different i suppose, for students, working adults, etc.. so i don't think anyone will be able to advise you on that except the gym's staff themselves.
rix : Why not just go for the trial? It's half an hour and the staff there will be able to explain more clearly..

BJJ Borneo now an affiliate of Escobar BJJ / Checkmat!

As announced on the Marcos Escobar BJJ Blog, BJJ Borneo is now an official affiliate of Escobar BJJ / Checkmat! BJJ Borneo is the second gym in Malaysia to be affiliated with the group with CRUSH Mixed Martial Arts being the first.

As one of the leaders of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Checkmat is helping to spread the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu throughout South-East Asia and with two affiliated gyms in Malaysia along with the sudden surge of interest towards Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the road to building a strong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu throughout the region is looking smoother than ever.

BJJ Borneo is currently being run by its founder, Allen Solomon Chong and from the 5th of November till the 5th of December, one of Checkmat’s top trainers and leaders, Chico Mendes, will be coming in to help train aspiring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where BJJ Borneo is located at.

We at SG Pro would like to congratulate BJJ Borneo for becoming an affiliate of Escobar BJJ / Checkmat and we wish them all the best!
